Nicandros Papaminas Research Center
The Research Center was named after its late Medical Director Dr. Nicandros Papaminas. Dr Papaminas was a brilliant hematologist who dedicated his life in caring for patients who suffered from leukemia. He served as the Medical Director of the Cyprus Bone Marrow Donor Registry from its inception and he was one of the founding members of the Center. He was a physician of great respect, a man with vision of making the world for the patients better, a man with unlimited passion for his work but above all a man of ethos.
The Nicandros Papaminas Research Center is the first multidisciplinary, integrated and thematically focused center that will combine state-of-the-art diagnostic methodology with cutting edge technology to fulfill the clinical needs of hematological malignancy patients in Cyprus and at the same time, create research and academic opportunities through collaborations with world-leading international institutions.
