Through a registry of clinical samples, the training opportunities provided by its partners and a systematic and thematically focused research strategy, CSHM is expected to create many high-caliber research opportunities. It will provide a training ground for new scientists by hosting a number of postdoctoral trainees and graduate students and establishing a structured educational program for medical and scientific staff in the area of hemato-oncology with invited speakers and training opportunities in the partners’ institutions.
The collaboration with two world-leading institutions, namely the University of Cambridge and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, provides training opportunities for CSHM scientists on their premises, and ensures exposure not only to the latest molecular technologies, but also to the ideas and work ethos of world-leading scientists.
