Mission Statement

"The Center for the Study of Haematological Malignancies (CSHM) aims to promote excellence in clinical laboratory practice, research and education in the area of hemato-oncology in Cyprus"

The “Center for the Study of Haematological Malignancies” will provide the opportunity for the enhancement of hemato-oncology diagnostics in Cyprus and will facilitate the execution of high-impact research in the field of haematological malignancies. Through the activities of this Center, Cyprus aspires to become more competitive in the research world by the creation of an appropriate research environment, which will support high caliber multi-disciplinary collaborations. Through this Center, patients will receive lifesaving diagnostic and prognostic information which will help guide their therapeutic decisions and monitor their treatment.
 

The CSHM is funded by the Research Promotion Foundation under the action «Strategic Infrastructure Projects» of DESMI 2008 ΥΠΟΔΟΜΗ/ΣΤΡΑΤΗ/0308/22 which is co-funded by the republic of Cyprus and the European Regional Development Fund.

The Bank of Cyprus donated €2 million for the construction of the CSHM. The Board of Directors pronounced Bank of Cyprus a Great Benefactor of the Center.
